Writing consists of a process undertaken by an individual to express a certain message or idea. There are many components to writing such as efficiently conducting research, understanding the writing process and applying it to a writing project, identifying common writing mistakes, and composing annotations correctly. All these components are addressed on this homepage along with specifically applying these components to the biological and political science field. Information is provided that is helpful in understanding the requirements of writing in these fields such as writing in the APA style, and common errors that are faced. Along with examples, students’ reflections are shared regarding the course, English 3010, and how the course molds them into better and more cultivated writers.
